Terms and Conditions

Chatravas exclusively offers a range of services, including bookings, seamless onboarding, intimation/vacate procedures, advance/deposit and rental payments, all overseen by the PG owners.

These terms and conditions are binding on all residents staying at the property (PG) managed by Branch Owners. Any infringement or violation of these rules constitutes a breach of the Resident Agreement made between the resident and Chatravas, and it may lead to Chatravas's right to terminate the agreement. Please be aware that these rules are subject to periodic updates at the sole discretion of Chatravas

1. General Terms

  • Compliance: All residents must follow the stated rules, and any violations could result in termination of the Resident Agreement.
  • Updates: Chatravas reserves the right to update the rules at any time.

2. Advance Refund and Vacate Intimation

  • Lock-in Period: A minimum stay of 1 month is mandatory.
  • Vacating Procedure: Residents must give at least 30 days' notice before vacating the property. If they fail to give prior notice, they must pay rent for the next 30 days.
  • Advance Refund: The advance will be refunded after vacating, subject to deductions for property damage or maintenance costs.

3. Care of the Property

  • Damage Reporting: Residents must report any damage immediately. They will be responsible for repair costs unless it's due to normal wear and tear.
  • Room and Common Area Maintenance: Residents must maintain cleanliness in their rooms, bathrooms, and common areas. Items provided for common use must not be taken to individual rooms.
  • No Furniture Movement: Residents cannot move furniture or furnishings in the common areas.

4. Intoxication, Betting, and Gambling

  • Strict Prohibition: The use of tobacco, alcohol, or any psychotropic substances is strictly prohibited within the property. Betting and gambling are also banned.
  • Consequences: Any violation may lead to termination of the Resident Agreement and reporting to authorities.

5. Conduct and Behavior

  • Ragging and Harassment: Ragging is prohibited and considered a criminal offense. Residents must treat others with respect and uphold the Chatravas Anti-Harassment Policy.
  • Noise Regulations: Loud noises and music are prohibited between 9:30 PM and 6:00 AM.

6. Pantry Rules

  • Cooking Restrictions: Cooking is only allowed in the designated pantry area.
  • Food Storage and Disposal: Food should be stored properly, and residents must dispose of waste and packaging appropriately.

7. Water and Electricity Usage

  • Conservation: Water and electricity must be used judiciously, and any leaks should be reported immediately.

8. Security and Safety

  • Nighttime Restrictions: Students cannot go out after 10 PM without parental permission.
  • Courier and Package Responsibility: Chatravas is not responsible for receiving or returning packages.

9. Housekeeping

  • Room Cleaning: Housekeeping may clean rooms in the absence of residents. Valuables should be secured.
  • Pest Control and Maintenance: Residents must cooperate with regular maintenance activities.
  • Personal Work: Housekeeping services cannot be used for personal tasks, such as washing personal utensils.

10. Electrical Appliances

  • Prohibited Appliances: Use of heating or cooking appliances in rooms is strictly prohibited unless the room has prepaid meters.
  • Appliance Usage: Residents must switch off all electrical appliances when leaving their rooms.

11. Photography and Filming

  • CCTV: The property is under CCTV surveillance in common areas. Residents must respect privacy and not obstruct CCTV cameras.
  • Photography: Residents can take photos but must ensure they respect others' privacy.

12. Police Complaints

  • Notification Requirement: Residents must inform the Residence Captain or Chatravas representative before contacting the police.

13. Visitors

  • Registration: All visitors must be registered at the reception and provide necessary documents.
  • Visitor Access: Visitors of the same gender may enter rooms with consent from roommates. Opposite-gender visitors are only allowed in the reception area.

14. Rent and Payments

  • Timely Payments: Residents must pay rent on time. A late fee of ₹100 per day will be charged for delayed payments.

15. Change of Bed/Room

  • Rights to change: The PG owners have the right to make changes to the guest room to ensure it meets everyone's needs, and guests are expected to cooperate with the PG owners.

These rules are designed to ensure the safety, comfort, and smooth operation of the residence, and to maintain a respectful and secure living environment for all residents.
